Bob, Rog, Josh & NABC at Hidden Hill Nursery, this Saturday.

This Saturday, July 10, is Bob's and Rog's (and Josh's) Excellent Beer Gardening Adventure, at Hidden Hill Nursery in Utica from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bob Hill and I are pairing NABC beers with the whimsy on display at Hidden Hill, and Chef Josh Lehman has prepared an a la carte picnic lunch. There'll be beer samples on the grounds, and a cash bar:

Cold Asian Noodles with Peanut Sauce
Chicken Salad Sandwiches
Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Orange
Watermelon Gazpacho
Fingerling Potato Salad with Bacon and Creme Fraiche

For anyone who hasn't been there, I highly advise making the trip to Hidden Hill. Nice little country drive to Utica. Hidden Hill is gorgeous- fantastic flowers and grounds with a touch of whimsy thrown in. ( Actual a whole bunch- Bob Hill has quite a sense of humor. ) We love this place- and it'll be even better with NABC there.

I really miss Bob Hill's column in the paper...Is there a column in the paper any more outside of the sports page more than once a week?

Agreed, Bob Hill is a great writer and I miss his work. This looks to be a great way to spend a Saturday.

I will be tending the main bar for the event. Come buy a beer from one of the guys that made it.
