Bob, Rog, Josh & NABC at Hidden Hill Nursery, this Saturday.

by Roger A. Baylor » Wed Jul 07, 2010 1:16 pm

This Saturday, July 10, is Bob's and Rog's (and Josh's) Excellent Beer Gardening Adventure, at Hidden Hill Nursery in Utica from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bob Hill and I are pairing NABC beers with the whimsy on display at Hidden Hill, and Chef Josh Lehman has prepared an a la carte picnic lunch. There'll be beer samples on the grounds, and a cash bar:

Cold Asian Noodles with Peanut Sauce
Chicken Salad Sandwiches
Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Orange
Watermelon Gazpacho
Fingerling Potato Salad with Bacon and Creme Fraiche

Beers: Beak's Best, Community Dark, Elector, Mt. Lee and perhaps a few hidden growlers of Hoptimus somewhere in the hills. For more: http://potablecurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2010/07/saturday-july-10-bobs-and-rogs.html

"Bob, Rog, Josh & NABC"....sounds like the beginning of a nursery rhyme

For anyone who hasn't been there, I highly advise making the trip to Hidden Hill. Nice little country drive to Utica. Hidden Hill is gorgeous- fantastic flowers and grounds with a touch of whimsy thrown in. ( Actual a whole bunch- Bob Hill has quite a sense of humor. :D ) We love this place- and it'll be even better with NABC there.

I really miss Bob Hill's column in the paper...Is there a column in the paper any more outside of the sports page more than once a week?

I also hear that Bob can ball with the best of 'em...LeBron ain't got nothin' as the next free agent at the Nachand Fieldhouse

Agreed, Bob Hill is a great writer and I miss his work. This looks to be a great way to spend a Saturday.

I will be tending the main bar for the event. Come buy a beer from one of the guys that made it.
