Bastille Day

by Michael Mattingly » Fri Jul 02, 2010 9:27 am

The in-laws are visiting from France & would like to go out to dinner for Bastille Day (July 14th). Are there any bars &/or restaurants here that celebrate this day? We went to Bastille at the Bristol in Jeffersonville last year & it was decent so we'll probably end up doing that again if nothing else is available. Thanks in advance.

I'll look in to Le Relais a bit more to see if they're doing something out of the ordinary but we were just there about 2 weeks ago & don't really want to go back so soon.

Bank Street Brewhouse celebrates Bastille Day. I have no details right now but last years was awesome.

Michael,
If the in-laws are looking to hook up with other French-speakers for la Bastille and don't mind something more rustic, the Alliance Francaise has organized a picnic--see below.

Bank Street Brewhouse will indeed feature a special multi-course Bastille Day feast on the 14th. Josh has the menu already, and I'm about finished pairing the beers. There'll be Bieres De Garde from NABC, Lost Abbey and Schlafly, as well as another three from Northern France. I hope to have this finished and posted within the next couple of days.
