Trolley Hop Nibbles on Friday

by Bill Veneman » Thu Jul 01, 2010 3:32 pm

Planning on Hopping on Friday. We did the Market St. bit on the June hop, and now want to hit Main St. Looking for reasonably price dining (must admit I adored 732 last hop, but did go a bit over budget on it)....Anything fun, unusual, foodie, festive? Advise, as always, welcome. (Keep in mind, roomy Chef Alan will be in tow).
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

I really like Wiltshire on Market. Nice atmosphere, and I like Chef Coby's style.

We hit Wiltshire for the Hop and it was extremely satisfying. It was our first visit and we will defintely be back. The Niman Ranch Pork Cheek Confit with Bourbon cider jus, spiced June applesauce, white bean puree and smoked radicchio hash was yummy and the Bibb lettuce salad with vegetables a la Grecque was very interesting. The flavors were outstanding. My husband had the Seared Ono on coconut jasmine rice with jicama-pickled local cucumber relish, mango sambal, and spicy garlic confit which he decalred divine. My hat's off to Chef Coby!
When in doubt, add more wine.
