krispy kreme coming to j-town opening 7/13

That's good and bad news for me. I LOVE Krispy Kreme. We even had them at our wedding. But with that stone's throw proximity to my house, I could be in serious danger of putting on a few more unnecessary pounds

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Factory, and will be located at 9569 Taylorsville Road in the Jeffersontown Commons shopping center. The new location is Krispy Kreme’s first in the east end of Louisville. The grand opening will be held on the company’s 73rd birthday Tuesday, July 13.
The store will be open Sundays through Thursdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
To celebrate Krispy Kreme’s 73rd birthday, the public is invited to participate in a birthday cake creation contest. Participants are asked to bake birthday cakes using Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme will hide one dozen Krispy Kreme T-shirts at locations throughout J-Town, in advance of the store opening on July 13. Clues regarding the T-shirts’ locations will be posted daily beginning Tuesday, July 6, on Twitter (@KrispyKremeJtwn) and Facebook (Krispy Kreme J-Town).
The winners of these contests will win a year’s supply of doughnuts. More information about both of these promotions to follow on July 6.

Well the sign is up, drive-thru window installed and and they look like they are moving very quickly. It is in the corner of the buliding across from CVS where the frame shop used to be. I'm very excited Although I'm afraid they will be packed all of the time like the IHOP is. As a matter of fact, today was the first time I drove by IHOP since it opened and there wasn't at least 20 cars in the lot at 5:30am when I go to work.

That picture of KK burgers was enough to kill my appetite for the next 24 hours.

Honestly, I am all in favor of people being allowed to eat what they want. After surviving a heart attack at 42, I know what the future holds for people who eat something like that regularly.

I love Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme > Dunkin Doughnuts ANYDAY!!!

Oh yes, I will definitely be one of the first in line. I lost 15 lbs. working at Forecastle over the weekend and need to re-fatten myself up!
