Oh Robin, I so agree. I quickly went to the Facebook page and then to their webpage and was so disappointed to find the authentic Chinese menu missing.

Angel, please put the authentic Chinese menu on your webpage. :D

It looks like I was the first of the group on here to try them out. I went last evening with some friends for a light dinner after a long day at the track.

They renovated the building very nicely and the decor is lovely, it doesn't even look like it's actually in a strip mall. Since we weren't extremely hungry we ordered appetizers and a couple of entrees to split. Everything not only tasted great but the presentation was wonderful! The egg rolls were nicely crispy and not at all greasy. The hot and sour soup had just just enough spice and the dumplings were very flavorful and just crisped nicely in a pan. When the entries were delivered to the table we almost gasped when we saw how beautiful they were. The chicken was placed in a ring of broccoli with a beautiful radish rosette and orange slices along the side.

For almost 9:00 on a Sunday evening they weren't busy but were not vacant either with about five or six occupied tables. The staff was very attentive and professional and the service was definitely above what we are accustomed to at local Chinese Restaurants.

I was really surprised when Angel knew my name from Facebook!

It's certainly a restaurant we will be visiting many times in the future and well worth a visit to try for yourself.

Stopped by there for a carryout lunch on the way to the pool for family festivities today, and it was impressive. Once you get inside, the decor is really well done - almost forgot I was in a strip mall location - and the service was quick and extremely friendly.

Ordered the Kung Pao Octopus from the Chinese menu and had almost picked it clean by the time I arrived at my destination. Big chunks of scored octopus, cooked perfectly to the point of 'tender with a little bit of chewy for texture' in a rich, spicy sauce and a metric ton of pepper pods for 'self adjusting' the spice level.

I'm sure there is something fundamentally wrong with driving down the road popping octopus chunks in your mouth, but I've never been accused of being anywhere close to normal when it comes to food (or in general, for that matter), so it was all good. 8)

Will definitely be going back to sample more of the Chinese menu.

Bob and I had a terrific lunch today at Peking City today. The eggrolls were just as we had remembered them from Springhurst, if not better! Not being terribly adventuresome eaters, we ordered off the regular menu and totally enjoyed it. The staff and the service were great. There was a huge table of Taiwanese patrons who were chatting with the Chef and ordering many differnt dishes. Wish I could have been a fly on their table!!! As we were leaving, I was showing the staff Mark R's Hotbyte review from last night on my cell phone. That is when we ran into John S. who was ordering his carry out and mentioned that he had read about Peking City on HB!!! It is a small world and shows that Hotbytes does a wonderful job of spreading restaurant info !!

I would recommend everyone try Peking City--a true hidden treasure!!!

Hi, Angel! It's funny, I could find the Chinese menu when you posted this, but now I can't find it any more, only the Chinese-American. Did you take it back offline, or am I missing it?
