US - Algeria game tomorrow - viewing options?

by Matthew D » Tue Jun 22, 2010 11:08 am

So who knows which establishments are going to be open for the 10am kickoff?

I am assuming "the bars" will be - Molly's, O'Sheas.

What about Tony's? Monkeywrench? BSB?

If anyone has any information, please post. If nothing gets posted, I'll make some calls and post what I find out.

Hopefully these places will have a good American Breakfast Stout on tap!

David,

What's the TV arrangement at BSB?

I went there for the US vs England match, and there was not a bad seat in the house. Great crowd for the game as well too.

Also, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning at Bank Street Brewhouse, we'll be debuting what I believe to be the first ever beer of its kind: USA vs Algeria -- Maghreb Biere de Garde, brewed especially for the third match of the opening round. As the name suggests, it is spiced. Read more about it here:

Reading that entry, I felt like I needed a PhD in a number of fields which I do not have a PhD in. Sounds both interesting and one-of-a-kind, judging from the parts I could follow.

I'm still researching the history of the Mahgreb ... cool stuff. We need to be roasting lambs in the parking lot, or something.

You could probably roast a lamb on the parking lot today! No need for a grill in this weather.
