Limestone’s Father’s Day Special!!
Saturday, June 19th 2009
6:30pm

Limestone Restaurant is hosting a special family evening in honor of Dads. We will be serving a five-course dinner pairing a different beer for the adults. The Brew master from Kentucky Ale will be on hand to talk about the beers. We will feature the Kentucky Ale and the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale among others.

We will also offer the same menu for the young adults, 13 to 18 without the beer of course.

There is a special five-course menu for kids as well who will enjoy the evening free of charge providing a carefree evening with Dad. The menu’s follow.

Dad will also receive a complimentary menu packet detailing the recipes for the marinades, rubs, and dressings served through the meal for his grilling adventures the rest of the summer. We will also be sending Dad home with a pouch of bourbon barrel wood chips for the grill.

This is designed as a family event for quality time for Dad and no hassle for mom or the rest of the family.

Reservations are recommended at 426-7477 as we anticipate a sell out honoring Fathers Day.

If you cannot make this special offering on Saturday June 19th then take Dad to our “Southern Sunday Brunch” on Sunday June 20th from 10a.m. to 2p.m.

We are leaving it all on the table for Dad!! See you on June 19th.

12 and under NO CHARGE
A family of 5 with 2 young adults 13-20 and 1 child under 12 can enjoy Fathers Day Dinner for $120.00 walking out the door.

Sounds wonderful pairing with Ky Bourbon Ale !, and the packet with the marinade and rub is a great idea !

And I will be the first to vote for changing the holiday from Father's Day to "Father's Day Beer Dinner", it just sounds better :D

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Jeremy,
This looks like a nice event. I am curious how two outsiders, a Canadian and a Belgian, made the list; Guinness Stout & framboise?

Hi David. The menu should read Guinness Draught, which is still brewed in Dublin. It's actually appropriate because our founder/owner, Dr. Lyons, did a stint working at St. James Gate after graduation from the Birmingham Malting School (years ago). It's a stretch but the lambic ties into my time at Ommegang/Duvel? If truth be told, though, we only produce 3 beers in our regular lineup and the other two selections were the choice of the GM at Limestone to fill out the menu. The Bluegrass Sundown is a new product of ours which is a coffee/bourbon/sugar concentrate where boiling water is added and topped with a float of heavy cream. think Irish coffee but with bourbon.
