...and ? <eh-hem> People might be more inclined to visit these places if they knew more than just a name.

I think Steve was referring to what kind of food these new restaurants are going to have, not where Norton Commons was. We pretty much know where it is but by name we've really can't tell much about these restaurants!

I'll second what Steve was saying... what kind of food can we expect to find at these places?

I love the chinese place and the gelato is a good stop as well, do hope these new places are as good. The farmer's market is pretty decent, made several stops by there last summer when we were staying in that area. Well worth the drive from Fern Creek for a good meal and some shopping in a very quaint area.

BIG BENS CAFE

by Jim Greenbrier » Sun Jun 13, 2010 10:19 am

The cafe open Thursday at 6 AM serving Breakfast,Lunch and Dinner. Even at this late date, the menu items are scarce,
.
However, the owner describes as an "Upscale Deli". Special breads, coffee, meats, pastries, etc. I d say definitely NOT Boar s Head from the micro-wave..

Physically, it is nicely done both outside and inside. It is on Meeting Street,2 blocks south of Norton Commons Boulevard ( that is the main street between Chamberlain and Rd 1694)... It has the earmarks of a "winner" as does the new Verbena Cafe which has not announced their opening.

In the near future the website will be completed. www.bigbenscafes.com.
