Beginning a bit later today, I'd say that it's shaping up as the biggest weekend of the year in New Albany outside of Harvest Homecoming in October. I've already updates previous posts about World Cup at Bank Street Brewhouse and the Celts on the River concert on Saturday. Tonight there'll be artistic attractions throughout downtown, and of course food and drink at the many establishments now in operation. My friend Karen collected an amazingly comprehensive amount of information about dining, shopping and museum choices, to which I appended a brief opening schedule of events, and you can read it here at my blog:

We know we have much yet to accomplish, but we've gone far during the past years, with much progress occurring during the recessionary period. Tonight I'll be doing interpretive duty at Bank Street Brewhouse for the Bicentennial Public Art project walkabout, and tomorrow, after a brief appearance at BSB during the match, I'll be pulling duty at the NABC beer truck during Celts on the River. ome down, check things out in downtown, and say hello if you see me. Thanks.
