Frascelli's NY Deli and Pizzaria

by Steve P » Fri Jun 04, 2010 5:48 pm

Lunch at Frascelli's in Crestwood (again) today...Probably not a "destination" for you folks who don't have current Oldham County entry visa's but WELL worth a visit for those of us who slum outside the Gene Snyder. The sandwiches are top notch...made with Boars Head products and served up on a nice Italian style "wedge". I personally prefer Frascelli's sandwiches to other (more popular) places but that's a story for another thread. The pizza stacks up well to other "NY" style pizzas found here in Louisville, with perhaps the exception of Papalino's (Can't say, still haven't been there). They have also recently added a "Sicilian" style pizza to the menu (thicker with a square cut) but I have not had the opportunity to try it yet (they were out of it today) Prices are good and service has always been above average. No "craft" beer but if you are not insulted by the occasional ice cold Bud on a hot summer day (I'm not) you CAN get your drink on. I'm giving it a solid "8" and throwing in a bonus point for convenience.
