Wow. Sounds like an amazing meal! Pretty good price too for all of that.

We always enjoy De la Torres for their great food and great service....

But, even if the portions are small I don't think we can eat all of that...Plus, my wife and I are trying to lose a little weight. Don't suppose it's allowed to split a meal like that...? Wouldn't even need to split it in the kitchen--just bring an extra plate and we can do it ourselves. But, probably that's not allowed for this kind of special meal...

Couldn't hurt to call them and ask. All they can do is say no, and I imagine they'd be polite about it.

Also, Benjamin, in my experience at these multi-course paired dinners, portions tend to be a little smaller than what you might find if you just went and ordered that many courses from the menu.

That said, I understand your concern. My wife and I are not big eaters, and thus we avoid these types of dinners as a general rule. It's just too much food, and the cost is usually very high, though De la Torre's is very reasonable. These types of things generally run $80-$100/person before tip, which is a lot to spend if you're leaving food on your plate.

Brad and Robin: Thanks for the thoughts. The answer was no, but they were very nice about it.

Turns out actually my wife will be out of town then anyway.

Had a meal tonight at De la Torre's and, as usual, it was delicious.

Sounds like a great meal on the 17th. And some great wine...

From Zaragoza?! That's my mom's hometown! She's going to flip out when she hears about this... hopefully she can make it.
