by Robin Garr » Tue Jun 01, 2010 2:17 pm

Another cigar dinner at Asiatique!

Tuesday, June 15, 6:30 p.m,, J. Shepherd Cigars will feature three premium cigar selections from Avo Uvezian Cigars paired with bourbons from Elmer T. Lee, Eagle Rare, W.L. Weller, and Blantons.

Chef Looi’s five-course meal pairing will start with diver’s scallop carpaccio, wok sautéed grape and roasted shallot with sake vinaigrette; followed by a second course of red crabmeat wonton on mushroom relish, and peppercorn shrimp.

The seafood course will be honey and soy glazed sea bass, garam masala scented roasted summer tomato and curry oil. The meat course will be roasted dry rubbed lamb chop, Malay style beef medallion with a lemongrass and red wine reduction.

The dessert course will be lemongrass panna cotta, summer berries ice cream, jasmine rice pudding and fresh fruit compote. The cost is $75 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

Am I missing something? How can there be a cigar dinner in a non-smoking town?

Patio seating?

Yep. I don't have the link handy, but Anderson addressed this when the previous dinner was posted.

Thanks, Robin. For a moment I was getting excited, then realized that I'm booked that evening. Drats.

We will be smoking on the deck, which does have a retractable awning. We have had a great time at previous events, you should un-book your night Roger. Or better yet bring your friends!

It's possible, though barely. Maybe. Perhaps ...
