Does anyone know if any of the little ice cream stands around town have Dole Whip?

Unfortunately, I've only ever seen it at the state fair.....

That's really rather what I was afraid of. :( Oh well, it'll have to stay relegated to those two weeks of August and the trips to Disney for me....

Dole Whip is a soft-serve frozen dessert available at individual ice-cream vendors all over the US and most notably at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Ala Moana Center Food Court in Honolulu (verified as of Nov 2009), Kahuna Dog (the beach location) located at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (this location is no longer open), Unified Enterprises Corp in Kaneohe, and at Dole Plantation in Hawaii. You can also get dole whip at Doozie's in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It comes in the following flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, Pineapple, Strawberry, Raspberry, Mango, Peach, and Orange.

Not exactly the same, but The Dairy Dip in New Salisbury does a rotating sherbet and the pineapple is pretty fantastic.

This place sells the mix if you have access to a soft serve machine.

If you have access to a soft serve machine you are my new best friend. :D

Haha thanks, but yeah I've known I could get the mix for a long time but alas a soft serve machine is and will continue to be the limiting factor in this equation.

I've always wanted to try one of these. No idea how well they work. I have a Cuisinart ice cream maker that uses the pre-frozen bowls and it works fine... if you use it right.

Might be a solution to your problem....

That looks like a sweet deal at $85.

My brother runs an ice-cream/drive-in in English, IN and I have him checking on it. He believes he can get it and would be more then happy to order it, if there is enough interest.

They do work pretty good. We scored a brand new one at a yard sale a couple of years ago that had never been out of the box with an extra bowl for $5.00 :D

I have to admit, that is pretty darn tempting...
