Hello all! It's been a long time since my last post here, but I wanted to jump back in both because I've missed the place and because I have a question for you all. I was in San Francisco last week and dined at the delightful Foreign Cinema, where my husband and I got to chatting with the sommelier. We told him that we were from Louisville, and he mentioned that a friend of his was leaving the Bay Area to open a restaurant here. He couldn't remember what the place was to be called or when it would open, but here's what he knew:
His friend's name is Chad.
It's in an up-and-coming neighborhood. (Butchertown? East Market?)
It will be in a historic building that was partially renovated by someone else who ran out of money.
It will serve comfort food.
I'm sure the answer will be revealed in good time, but I wondered if any of the rest of you had any more info about it!

(This post is actually only the fourth or fifth time I've referred to him as my husband, and it still seems really strange!) I do plan to stick around over here, now that the wedding is over with and I'm not confronted by an ever-expanding to-do list. I've missed it here!
