Cake Help

by Kris Billiter » Thu May 27, 2010 3:16 pm

My little girl is turning four next month and has asked for a lady bug cake. Usually my wife bakes and decorates the cake each year, but after the past few months she has had, we decided that wasn't the best idea. Any thoughts on where I can get this done for a reasonable price? Thanks!

I would try Plehn's Bakery in St. Matthews. Their cakes are good, and I don't think they're overly expensive.

I'll chime in to vouch for Leah's cakes, first hand.

They're delicious to eat and lovely to look at, and vice versa.

What was that Lady's name? Tip of my tongue, owns a B & B in Old Louisville...

Name escapes me.

Leah's cakes are divine!! I've been fortunate to have a few (including my wedding cake and my son's 1st bday cake. She even made him the cutest smash cake as well!!)

My post wasn't meant as a slight to our dear Leah. I just think of fancy wedding cakes not cakes for three year olds when I think of her. I've since spoken with Leah and she is more than willing to do one. We will see. My wife is actually having 2nd thoughts and may want to do it herself. Again, no disrespect to Leah!
