While this might be true, I don't find it to be a problem at many places - Brownings, BBC on 4th, Grape Leaf, El Mundo, and Baxter Station come to mind as being free of smoke issues. It's more of a problem at Cumberland, Za's, and the Irish Pubs on Baxter. I really like patio dining, and, for the most part, rarely run into problems with smoke.
