Heading to Neil Young tomorrow

by Ellen P » Tue May 25, 2010 1:12 pm

Usually would go to BBC 4th but may have to stop at the Theatre Square Marketplace first. Haven't been. Cunningham's is near by.
(We went to Cunninghams once. Sat at a table next to the bar. No one approached us. No one said a thing to us. After about 5 min., we left. The hostess thanked us for coming. We told her we never got waited on. No acknowledgement. Haven't been back. Might be my biggest pet peeve about the restaurant business. I can understand people being busy but at least tell us you or someone will be with you. The hostess did tell us that those tables at the bar were open seating. A second pet peeve:-) Open seating or not? Where does it end? Where does it begin? Other customers leaning against you as you eat your meal. I got up to go to the restroom at the Wild Egg and a woman tried to climb into the stool. My husband was with me and to block her:-) Not the restaurants fault. Customers:-)
I did work front of the house for 12 years.

I see the rhetorical questions in your post. Were you also asking whether you should try Theatre Square? If so, yes you should. Enjoy the concert.

I wonder if Neil will be singing my favorite song:

I want to live with a cinnamon roll, I would be happy the rest of my life with a cinnamon roll.

I'm sorry.

We're going tonight also. Not exactly a big fan myself, but my husband is... I'm sure I'll be stoned by many  (no pun intended) for not being a Neil freak.

Saw Buffett up in Cincinnati last week, were supposed to go to Tom Petty until it got canceled and now he wants to go see George Jones (of all people). For some reason, my husband is on an old folks roll.

Anywho, I think we are going to hit the Sushi Bar before the show.

I caught you knockin'
at my kitchen door
I love you, baby,
can I have some more
Noooo, noooo the Spam is gone.

I hit the city and
I opened a can
I watched the pork parts
choke another man
Gone, gone, the Spam is gone.

I sing the song
because I love the Spam
I know that some
of you don't understand
Canned meat
I keep on running out.

I've seen the noodles
and the Spam on buns
A little chunk of it in everyone
But I burned it
now it's overdone.

(Ed made me do it.)

Keep it up and I'll have to pull out the heavy ammo: "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Garr!"

Well....now you've gone and done it, Steve!

"A Man Needs Lemonade"

"My tastes are changing in so many ways
I don't know what to drink anymore
There's the fake cork versus real fight
like a beggar going door to door

I was thinking that maybe I'd drink lemonade
find a place nearby where it's freshly made
Just some sweet lemony treat
drink with my meals and fade away

Lemonade. A man needs lemonade
Lemonade.

It's hard to make that change
when palates and taste turns strange
and old

A while ago somewhere
I don't know when
I was watching\a movie with a friend.
I fell in love with the actress
she was drinking something I could understand

Lemonade. A man needs lemonade
Lemonade.

When will I drink you again?

En garde!
