L&N Wine Bar and Bistro-new specials

by Len Stevens » Thu May 20, 2010 5:07 pm

Fellow forumites...

I wanted to give a heads up to everyone on the forum of an aggressive program we are starting this Monday, May24th. For those of you who haven't stopped by in awhile, I hope this gives you some incentive. I'm very proud of our restaurant, but I understand that there is no shortage of options in Louisville and sometimes, due to us being located a bit off the "restaurant rows", sometimes people need to be reminded about what we do. As always, I wanted to thank Robin for his long time support and his permission to post this.

On Tuesdays, we are starting a very aggressive wine special. Everything on our regular bottle list (right now close to 80 selections) will be available for $2.00 per taste, $6.00 a glass, and $25 per bottle. This will be available from open to close. In addition, we will offer this program exclusively at the bar from Mon-Thurs, open to close. In addition, we offer "five @ 5 pm happy hour in the bar from Monday-Friday. All of our house infused vodka martinis, along with select appetizers, are available until 7 pm. Currently our infusions include peach, raspberry, hot pepper, fruit medley, and pineapple.
Lastly, we are rotating nightly food specials at the bar from Mon-Thur. Starting next week we will have the following, all available for half price, Burger (Mon), Choucroute (Tue), Mussels (Wed), and Cheese Fondue (Thur). We are also in the process of putting out a new beer list with the help of fellow forumite Scott Shreffler (Kentucky's only certified Beer Cicerone), and Tyler & Lori-owners of the Louisville Beer Store.

So if you haven't come to see us in awhile, please do. For the many of you who have supported us over the last 7 years, we are grateful. Again, thanks Robin for allowing me to post.

This means these specials are for those sitting in the bar area only, right?

Thanks for the info Len, I am embarrassed to say that I have NEVER been to L&N, simply because it IS an "out of sight out of mind", but I plan on coming in on my very next "Girls night out" which is coming up like next week.

Looking forward to it!

Well, that doesn't change the fact that I will be there tomorrow for a pre-Wicked dine. And looking VERY forward to it!

I read this as the following:

Tuesdays only, all wines on the regular list are available $2.00 per taste, $6.00 per glass, and $25 per bottle, anywhere in the restaurant.

This same program will also be available Monday through Thursday in the bar area.

5@5 will be available Monday through Friday, only in the bar area.

As of Saturday Evening dinner at L&N, Rick Adams is still in the house.....as per a conversation with Len! Unless something happened between 7:30p and closing..........

Bill, I realize that you had dinner at L&N last evening before going to "Wicked." However, I am not in the habit of lying. Around ten-thirty the statement
Rick Adams: Just got fired from L&N wine bar!!!!
appeared on Rick's facebook page.

The seventh person to respond wiash April Adams, his wife, who wrote
You will come back on top. You are one of the best & the people in this city who actually make a difference in this community & restaurant industry know that. I love you sweetheart.

Not casting stones at all....at that time I was still at KCA.....this is all news to me. And as I noted, it chatting with Len, all seemed well in that corner.

From the timing of the Facebook posts, and there are quite a few, it looks like it happened at the end of the shift last night.
