Anyplace have single-malt Scotch tasting flights?

by Robin Garr » Wed May 19, 2010 9:42 pm

The subject says it all: I know Bourbons Bistro (and maybe others) offers "flights" of three or four small tastes of various Bourbons, but my wife likes her single-malts and is eager to find a way to taste a few side by side without us having to invest in small bottles. Even four full shots would probably put her right down  ... but a tasting flight would be just right. Do any of you know of a local eatery or watering hole that might provide this service?

I seem to remember that the Bristol on Bardstown Rd. has single-malt flights. It has been a while though, so I would call to see.

This may not be very helpful, but if you find yourself in Bloomington, IN, there is a place called The Irish Lion that has Scotch flights. The manager, Dennis, is amazing with the Scotch knowledge. I sat there with him once for almost an hour, tasting and discussing.

I'd surprised if any place that has a number of single malts wouldn't be willing to put something together for you even if it's not normally on the menu.
