Just got this Email blast from Mary Wheatley, who brings the good news. As I recall, this market at the corner of Shelbyville Road and Browns Lane, literally across the street from where the old Sears used to be, opens for business at 8 a.m.
Tomorrow is Opening Day!
Excitement is brewing, farmer's are buzzing, and everyone is scrambling to bring back the
St. Matthews Farmers' Market. Come out tomorrow and experience for youself the incredible bounty that is our market. Fresh flowers, lettuces, plants and early spring veggies are waiting for you. I'll be in or near my usual location to welcome back our loyal supporters and get our 'newbies' in the loop for a great season.
Come by the Cook With Mary booth and see what's new in my format this year! I will be meeting groups of shoppers each Saturday morning for a tour of the market and move inside to the church's kitchen to hold a cooking class! These classes will be formatted to cover some basic cooking skills and focused on what is fresh and available in the market each week. Schedules for classes will be available beginning tomorrow and are always available on my website: www.cookwithmary.com .
