Good Ol' Kentucky Bluegrass

by Brand M » Tue Jul 03, 2007 6:42 pm

I'm starting up Bluegrass at Carly Raes on Sunday's from 6-9 P.M on the outside patio. Stone Hollow, Old Louisville Express, and Lincoln County Prospects * few members from Hog Operation* are on board so far. They are three of the finest bands Louisville has to offer. Stone Hollow will be this coming Sunday. Seven piece band of a bunch of ol' timers that have been playing since their teens.I won't be working that night but I will definately be there to get some bluegrass therapy and listen to my good friends play.

I'd love to hear some good Bluegrass in Louisville again. The days of all the little Bluegrass bars are long gone. Any idea why CarlyRae's doesn't post their prices on the Menusoflouisville site? Just curious. I like to see the prices before I go to an establishment.

Hey Mark, it's a shame there isn't more bluegrass in Louisville. It's quite abundant outside of the metro area. It's one of the great things about being a Kentuckian. The chance to hear the best bluegrass in the country.A style that takes a lifetime to master. Hope to see you there !

We are in the process of adding prices to our menu and adding our wine list and frequently changing beer list. We are however having some trouble with the website administrator. The restaurant side or the pricing of the Carly Rae's is not my department. The website is our top priority at the moment.

See you there Allison :).

There is an open Bluegrass Jam every Wednesday night at the BBC in St. Matthews that is sponsored by Bluegrass Anoynomus. I have seen some of the best pickers and players in town there ofton.
