Have fun in Mecca Robin!

Here's wishing you safe travels and lots of great drinking and eating in Burgundy. Please give the soil of Clos de Beze a great big kiss for me! I look forward to hearing all about your trip .

Thanks, Len, but bad news ... Robin is not going to see Clos de Beze (or anywhere else in Burgundy) this trip. I've been felled by a grievous ailment - not food-borne, I hope (!) but a summer tummy virus, perhaps Norwalk. The good news is that it usually lasts only a couple of days. The bad news is that there's NO way I was flying to France last night, or this week, and I couldn't cancel and then fly within 7 days without paying a huge premium, so I can't even go over and pick up the second half of the tour. :P

The trip's on, and the folks on the tour will have great guidance from our multi-lingual associates at French Wine Explorers, but they'll have to do it without me.

I guess I ought to be grateful that the symptoms hit hours BEFORE flight time and not hours AFTER.

And now, if you'll excuse me ...

How Sad!!  Hope you are feeling better! I have heard through some of my work buddies that there is a wicked stomach virus making the rounds. If you want, I'll e-mail you some of Mama's remedies for various digestive problems - all food-based, of course!
