Asiatique's Degustation Menu(s)

by Linda C » Sat Apr 24, 2010 12:55 pm

We've always been fans, but never tried this experience. Last night, my husband and I had the 5 course seafood with wine pairing. What impressed me as well is that there's also a vegetarian 5 course sampler!

What a GREAT meal! The couple beside us was doing a mixed sampler (with meat) and we were all really enjoying it and sharing tasting notes. Started with a panko crusted calamari over greens with a light delicious dressing, followed by a diver scallop dish, then ahi tuna over vegetables with 2 sauces, then a piping hot, fire out of your ears salmon, scallop and shrimp dish . There was a mini dessert plate at the end which helped put out the fire of the last dish! I especially enjoyed the Pear Creme brulee. We also did the wine pairings which were very enjoyable.

Our server was Steven, who was excellent. He told us that the menu is ever changing, so that really got us fired up about doing it again. I can't wait to try the vegetarian dinner!

Thanks for the report, Linda. You really make me want to try that. Both seafood AND vegetarian!
