Tableside Guacamole?

by RonnieD » Tue Apr 20, 2010 11:09 pm

While in Reading, PA this weekend, my wife and I ate at a Mexican Restaurant named Plaza Azteca. Part of our experience was an incredible Guacamole that was made to order tableside. Needless to say the Guacamole was easily some of the best we have ever had, but the real treat was watching it being made at our table.

Are there any local restaurants that do this? It really was something to experience and sadly 10 hours is a long way to to go on a regular basis. We'd love to find something similar closer to home.

Seviche's been doing it for a few years. Table side muddling of avocados, pico, jalapeno mojo, sea salt, and lime. Extremely delicious and available at the bar as well. Adjusted to taste.

Tableside guac at Seviche is the best. Don't skimp on the heat!

They do not do it table side but La Rosita's does not prepare any guac before it is ordered.

How have I been to Seviche as often as I have totally missed this! Shame, shame, shame on me. It's that damn calamari, we just get it every time and not even look over the rest of the apps!

Thanks, this makes it very easy!
