Dinner at Stratto's

by DeeDee D » Fri Jun 29, 2007 9:51 pm

Hubby and I went to Stratto's for dinner Saturday night (I know, little late) but still on my mind that I wanted to post. Tha place is really beautiful. We started with the grilled pizza w/ moz, basil and fresh tomatos, it was wonderful! Very hot, nice crunchy crust, slightly burned edges and fresh cheese. It was huge and a great way to start. I ordered the shrimp scampi over vermicelli in a light wine sauce, very nice, not enough garlic for my taste, but still very good. Hubby got NY strip w/ garlic butter and mashed taters. He said it was very good and a nice surprise. Salads due come w/ every dinner and ALL the dressing are made on site and were very good. The only area that was lacking was the the service. Not that it was bad, because it was not at all. Just a young and inexperience staff. Our server was very plesent and helpful. Just not educated about wines or the menu. Over all, great night, great food and we will be back!
