BBC

What's the word on BBC? My husband and I don't go downtown often. However, we have friends staying at the Brown Hotel eyeballing BBC. We have plans to meet in just a few hours at BBC across the way. I understand this is very short notice. Hopefully someone can reply a post prior to us leaving for downtown at BBC. Can we get grub there or is it strictly a bar? Sorry for my naivety.

Yeh, I some how got a different webpage, with a lot less information. Was going to call the place directly if I didn't get any replies. Who wants to talk to a real person? Geez!

Thanks for the link. And info.

Just an update. Went to BBC. The friends really enjoyed the beer - they'll probably get some to take back home. Everyone also seemed to like their meals. And Maggie, our server, was great.

If I had to nitpick - I'd complain about that pesky fly that wanted some of our appetizer.

Cornhole is similar to a beanbag toss game.

We're not even gonna talk about what you were thinking.

Don't feel bad James, I was thinking the same thing but was too timid to ask.

Wikipedia: "Cornhole is popular around Cincinnati and is played during family activities, like picnics, during tailgating, and other social events. The popularity of Cornhole in Cincinnati has led to several professional leagues, most notably the ACA or The American Cornhole Association.

The west side of Cincinnati has been widely accepted as the birthplace of Cornhole. The first games were played in the early '60s and dubbed "cornhole" due to the bag's feed corn stuffing."

Gosh, is there anything that doesn't have professionals associated with it? On second thought, disregard that question -- don't think I want to go down that road!

My guess would be Howard Stern...The shock jock, not the lawyer...He has a long history of giving unusual names to games...

Cornhole ?

by James Paul » Mon Jul 02, 2007 3:45 am

Ah leave it to Cincy's west side for such an offering.

Perhaps we should do a road trip up there armed with light poles and public defenders to do a little "tailgating".
