If you still need a judge, my boyfriend, Doug would probably love to participate. Afterall, I think I originally asked where to find good chicken and dumplings for him a couple of years ago when this idea was first discussed.

Also, I'm happy to help if you still need volunteers.

I wonder what Marsha found out about armbands. I'm not sure where to get either one!

I have a "PAID" stamp in red at work.....though it may be difficult to get the ink off afterward!

That ought to work, though! Could you bring it and let Gayle use it during her Admissions Desk duties?

Well, it wouldn't really matter what the stamp is of, right? I have a few stamps at school and some washable ink. I don't imagine it's like the old days of sneaking into a club underage and having someone try to rub their stamp off their hand onto your own so you don't get carded. Not that I ever attempted that or anything.

Online, Factory Card Outlet has 250 count paper wristbands for $35 which seems really expensive.

OK, folks, here's what I have from my end:

Tables - 8 foot for each contestant, as well as a handful of rounds with chairs and some high-top cocktail tables. I'll just need the final contestant count on Tuesday early afternoon.
Disposables: I'll provide either 5 Oz. souffle cups or small paper plates, plastic spoons, and napkins (unless anyone has a free source for these).
Linens - Kurt? Would love if you can help out with this. If not, I am sure Dan and I can cover it.
Plenty of trash cans to be scattered throughout the space.
A big-ass TV, podium, and microphone for the Food Literacy program.
Chafers - some really nice, some basic chrome frame. They all keep food warm, though, so they should suffice.
Sterno - I have plenty here, but those who could provide your own, please do.
Cash bar - we'll have beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, iced tea, etc. I'll set up a station for water on the house - not gonna gouge our guests for tap water and ice.

I'll have the convection ovens on in the kitchen in case anyone needs to do a quick reheat on-site.

Am I missing anything major? Or even minor?

I will be at the club for the majority of the day - I have some meetings early on, but will just be working on room setup and related from 2 PM or so on, so anyone who wants to pitch in on that side, come on by.

My cell is 859-699-2079, so if anyone needs to reach me for something immediate, or that doesn't need to be a forum post, either PM me or try my phone. We'll see everyone on Tuesday!
