Twice, BA in English and MS in Urban Affairs. That doesn't give me any particular reason to be excited about the professional athletes they hire to raise funds. For what it's worth, though, I'm even less interested in UK. :)

Well, that's true here. I'm Centre undergrad/Wash U law, but I grew up in Eastern Kentucky, where we're raised UK fans from day 1. You have to realize, a lot of folks living there may never make it to Louisville in their lives. Lex in the "big city."

My thinking: Monday is a tough night for anyone except those in the business. Secondly: I have vivid images of waiting at the bar with Bim, in an otherwise empty restaurant, for games to end. Local or otherwise, we didn't have to turn on the TV to know a game was going into overtime. Thirdly, we need Dean. He's part of the draw. CD

Folks,

Based on all of your input, we are finalizing the date as Monday, February 9th.

Now here's the great news: We confirmed John Castro today as the remaining judge! So the judges are Dean Corbett, John Castro and Robin. This is going to be a great foodie ( and charity ) event!

Could all of you who plan to compete do us one really big favor? Could you PM me your name, restaurant name, and your direct email address? We'll use that to compile the final list of confirmed entrants ( rather than potentially miss someone in a 8 page thread). We'll use those emails to communicate directly with the participants on the rules, arrangements and answer any questions you have.

Thanks!

So far I've only received confirmations for the new date ( February 9th) from Baxter Station, Cafe Lou Lou, Westport General Store, and Son of a Sailor. Who else is still committed to enter? Deadline is this Sunday, but it would help our graphics folks preparing the Flyer if we know sooner rather than later.

Thanks for your help!

I was feeling awful that I didn't know what restaurant "Son of a Gun" is until I realized you must have meant "Son of a Sailor". This combined with your UofL vs Yukon mix-up makes me realize that you are just having us all on, Deb - you're angling to be a comedian!

Thank you for pointing my major gaffs to everyone, Marsha.

In my defense, I've been typing ( which is not my strong suit) while on conference calls, or doing other things. Hence this particular error. My apologies to Steve.
