Let's do a meeting and come up with a third judge to invite, maybe from inside the forum, maybe a guest.

I think collecting at the door is a logical and obvious approach.

And yes, more chef/cook entries would be awesome.

I have the third judge. Chef Robert Granberg from Gordon Food Service has volunteered for judging duties. I asked him to enter a dish, but with his schedule next Tuesday he wouldn't have time to prepare anything.

Come on guys, we need to have some more folks pro or amateur to enter their version!!!!
I think if we have a total of 8 to 10 contestants there will be enough samples for those attending to feel they are getting their money's worth, even though it's a donation for a great cause!

No criticism meant, Chris, and I'm really sorry you won't be able to compete!

I volunteered to help quite a while back. I think I could help sell tickets at the door. :)

That would be great, Gayle! Thanks for volunteering. I think one person could probably handle it ... just take money, put it in an envelope and have people sign a sheet as they pay. Doubt that we'll need to mess with tickets, although ... hmm ... if we could get some arm bands or something, that would make it really easy for the servers to know that nobody without an armband gets any tastes. I hate to add any expenses that will reduce the payout to the Food Literacy Project, though. Anybody know a realy cheap source of wrist bands? A hospital, maybe? :D If it's reasonable, I'd just cover them from LouisvilleHotBytes rather than taking it out of proceeds.

I'll bet one of the paper party supply places carry cheap paper bracelets - I'll start calling around.

Chris, if you want, I can swing by Corbetts and pick up your batch when I'm on my way so at least your product can compete in your stead. Just a thought...( of course, no guaranty that I wont put my name on it if it wins....LOL). Let me know. Dave

Let's say 4:30? Does that work?? That way I can just head straight to Standard from there and won't interupt your dinner prep. Back door of Corbetts yes? I think Bret said he could provide chaffers so I might just need the pans??

Chris (and David) - I could help with serving it since you cannot be there. I might be able to press hubby and son into service also. Do I need a Corbett's jacket or something?

Wow...I want a Corbetts jacket too! (Bet they're 100% combed Egyptian cotton!) Thanks Suzi and I may need you though I'm taking a co-worker with me as well.

What about a hand stamp instead? That would probably be cheaper.
