Adam was looking good, but he has some serious rest to catch up on.
He showed me his gnarly scars and told me he had been in surgery for five hours.
He is in good spirits and amazed at the fact that the community rallied around him so thoroughly and rapidly.
He's from New Hampshire and said that this community energy would not happen on the East Coast.
I for one feel like Louisville is a really special town and that the independent business and restaurant communities here are to not be underestimated.

Matt,

Can you advise on the best place to park? I'm not very familiar with downtown.

There is parking on both sides of market in front of the store. You can also park on either preston or floyd streets.
We're around the corner from Slugger Field.

There's an announcement in today's Scene.

Really, Matthew, I hope you have enough coffee and beer on hand.

I'm making a lot of cookies . . .

LEO Weekly is donating 1/4 page to announce the event. I am working with Matthew at DCE on getting the graphics in to our artists so the ad will be ready to run in Wednesday's paper.
Having never gone through the trauma that Adam has, I don't know, but I imagine, that recovering from this sort of ordeal involves more than just stitches. I think faith in our humanity and kindness to one another must also be repaired and restored. Hopefully this event will help Adam with that as well.
Get well Adam. You have friends out there you've never met rooting for you.

I'm putting in a fairly large beer order early next week.
As for coffee I doubt I'll run out... it's the milk I run out of!

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza. D Barry

Todd, let me know what you have. I may be able to augment that with some other items from the cellar.

I know I have a few beers from Wisconsin, specifically from New Glarus that I am putting in. I also have decided to donate my 2007 Three Floyds Dark Lord Imperial Stout to the cause. I might make them put a reserve on the Dark Lord so that somebody does not get one too cheap. There was too much work on my part to get that one in. I've also got a few Belgians in the cellar that I am going to break out.

I am donating my last 750ml. bottle of Bearded Pat's Barleywine, bottled in December 1999. This beer won a Gold Medal at the GABF and the bottle has never been out of my cooler. The bottles from the last case sold for $40.00 each.

Hey guys. I don't know if you saw this live, but here is a link to the WAVE3 story and a video that shows an interview with Adam. I can't view the video at the office but hotbytes is mentioned in the print story!
