Marsha that is the best cake I have ever had in my life!!!!....I'm not kidding!... The Splendiferous Coconut and the Lemon Sunshine should be in the baker’s hall of fame..

They won’t last till tomorrow afternoon though; I'm serving slices to a couple right now and giving them away to our customers.... first come first serve.... We open at 9am :)

You though, have a gift that Louisville needs to be able to tap into. If I had the cash I'd Build you the kitchen of your dreams and watch you go!

Thank you from all of us cake lovers

Clay,

Sorry to hear we missed your friends. As soon as we can afford it, we will be investing in a decent sign. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Please let yout friends know we appologize for that.

C~

Clay Cundiff wrote:Christopher, if you get a chance, you might want to consider investing in some more promient signage for the restaurant. The missus and I have both had friends we've sent your way tell us they were unable to find the place, even though they apparently drove right by it. The painted name on the door is pretty hard to make out from the street, especially for us old folks..

Lunch at Joe Davola's today. There were 3 of us and we all were VERY pleased with our meals, and lucky enough to get there early enough to score a piece of Marsha's incredible lemon sunshine cake. Each of us tried the 1/2 and 1/2 meals so we could try different things. That enabled us to try the roast beef, the pork loin, the tuna, the asian salad, the pear salad and the squash soup. All were wonderful, and we are already making plans for a return trip. Thanks Marsha for the wonderful cake!

I had an excellent lunch at Joe Davola's today with Stacy Roof (also a forumite). Right as i was leaving Shawn Vest's lovely wife Tajana showed up and had lunch with a friend. Seems to be the Foodie place to be.
Marsha - Christopher offered me a slice of cake and it took all of my will power to say no. I have lost 27lbs.since January 4th and can't risk falling off the wagon just yet. I will have to get a slice of your dreamy cake sometime after April 4th. Everyone that had a slice raved about it.

Congrats on losing the weight, Kurt - my cake's good, but not nearly as good as losing 27 lbs!

I ate Joe Davola's today, too! 1/2 tuna salad and soup - I combined the mushroom and squash soups and I'm pretty sure Christopher thought I was joking when I asked for it - something I do often when given the opportunity, but normally would not embarrass myself by asking for something like this, but his partner, James, suggested it (probably toungue in cheek while I was laboring on my choice) and I jumped on it. Hope it was not offensive to alter the integrity of the art, but I looove soup and this was awesome. Tuna was great and I'm trying a pescatarian diet so I'll have to be creative further when I return. Vegan meatloaf as the only other sandwich option sounds good, but I bet if I ask for another veg option they'll throw something together. They have enough ingredients that I don't see this being a problem. The salads are mostly vegetarian but if I'm going, I'm probably looking looking for soup and sandwich. Got a carry out menu, too, for delivery at work. I don't think the attn of this thread is unwarranted and I can't wait for the beans to start roasting again. Christopher - will you retain the Jackson's Organic name? You sooo know what you're doing with coffee and I miss it. Would love to pop in for a cold toddy as soon as it's available.

Count me in as a Crazy Joe Davola's fan! Christopher is the consummate host. The food, oh! the food.
I had the 1/2 BLPT - my new favorite sandwich ever. And 1/2 of the pear salad, perfectly dressed by James. Love those guys and can't wait for them to be KRA's newest member!
