While I don't agree with everything you have said, I see where you are coming from. That said, the bottom line is that the "right thing" is different for every single person. While you may have moral issues with what Pitino did, others may not - or may feel that their opinion on the matter is not of consequence.

This mess became public when this woman tried to blackmail Pitino and he stood up to it. Ten million dollars? Please.

Sorry, but this is between Pitino and his family and the rest of us should butt out.

(sermon over)

As a public figure, Coach Pitino should have realized this incident could wind up in the media eventually...it's an inherent risk one assumes when they voluntarily embark upon a career path that places them in the public arena...especially one who undertakes this type of behavior....if you're not interested, then ignore it.

I quit buying Kellogg's after the Michael Phelps incident.

Seriously? Why? Did Kellogg's give him the pot? I'm not being sarcastic, I would really like to know.

I'm not going to bore anyone with specifics, but I will defend Kellogg's all I can. They are a fantastic company and they treat their employees REALLY WELL, as well as being really good corporate citizens.

As for Porcini, I understand what you're saying, but my moral compass and your moral compass are giving us each a different perspective of north.

I did write to Kellogg's and told them that there was a better way to handle the situation, IMO. They never wrote back. I understand where you are coming from as well. Robin is right- this thing is HUGE on the internet and as tax paying citizens of this state, we ought to be able to express our outrage. I am also incensed that someone would cry rape 6 years later. I think that really is offensive to women who have been assaulted and feared for their lives. After all, he was the one who passed the polygraph test. Now I'm done! Gotta make some music on the Belle tonight. Toot toot!

Very nice! I think I'll call Porcinis and reserve the Pitino booth and have them recreate that special.

You have got to be kidding me. Who would NOT have "moral issues" with this situation? Can you describe a time and place that it is appropriate and morally OK to cheat on your spouse and embarrass your family and subsequently your employer and community?

People that don't have morals find it easy to do anything they like without feeling guilty.

Me. I don't have moral issues with it.

And I have morals, but they are mine. They don't apply to anyone else.

Call me a moral libertarian, I guess.
