I don't know how Robert is a troll, especially in this case. He started a thread about Texas Roadhouse.

He is a troll because he started a thread about the financial success of a restaurant chain, not one about its food, the atmosphere, service etc. The purpose of this forum is to discuss eating not finances.

But finances are the main reason for its existence. Not all restaurants are owned by people who need a tax write off.

Did you chime in when people were talking about the economy or gas prices affecting the restaurant economy?

I just think it's funny how many of you want to gather and throw stones.

That's Delirium Tremens, and it's family-owned Belgian. Maybe the neophytes could drink that (I'd never use a word like simpleton).

Hey, just wanted to point out that I came back into the thread because Robert didn't honor his "let it die" promise ... and I really, really wanted to get the pink elephant in here somewhere

I wonder how much time Robin has had to spend babysitting this thread...

Robin keeps thinking it would be so much easier just to lock the dang thing, but he hates to be authoritarian unless he's just got to.

Can't we let it die, folks? This kind of train wreck doesn't really amuse anyone except (perhaps) the participants. Let's see if we can't talk about something more interesting.

This may be off the subject... oh wait it is the subject... I've always enjoyed Texas Roadhouse despite the typical long wait (they must be something right when the waits 45 to and hour). They have good quality food at a beyond reasonable price. It's good to see a local company succeed. 8)

I do not wish to go against Robin's wishes, but I must note the hilarity of Rodger's elephant in the room. Touche!

It is also clear that I'm the troll in this thread, as I'm the only one to have been called out by Robin. Look, running a forum is no easy task; and I appreciate the effort expended to keep this place going. I apologize if I've made that task more difficult. This will be my last post in this thread.

But before I go, it seems prudent to note that there have been more than a couple forum lurkers that have also noted the same things that I have noted.

When I dine there with my family we use the call ahead seating deal. They will tell you how long the wait is going to be, so we cruise the aisles of Home Depot. Food is always good and the price is right. I've met the owner (the guy that started the chain) Mr. K. Taylor. He is a straight shooter.

I agree Robert, but your opening entry in this thread had nothing to do with Texas Roadhouse's food, it only talked about their finances.
