I think it is a good subject. Although I seldom get burgers when eating out, I believe it would be a good idea to also post locations of bad burgers.

I nominate my kitchen as the first "bad burger". If consistency is a sign of a good burger, mine are consistently bad. Sometimes burned, sometimes raw, sometimes falling apart. Quite often, I throw in some tomato sauce and whatever stuff is laying around and dump it on spaghetti and with any kind of luck it is edible. McDonalds does it better.

I do like the Bristol Burger.

Let's hear it for some more bad burgers.

We stopped by Five Guys in New Albany on our way out of town today. The burger was decent but I don't think the joint is as remarkable as some of the posters made it out to be.

Not too far from being a fast food place in my opinion. The place had little atmosphere and the help was less than happy to be there. The burger was cooked medium well (was not given a choice) and had real good taste to it. The cheese was applied after they cooked it and came out with the corners still being cold. The bun was ok but not outstanding. The fries were so salty we could barely eat them. They would have been excellent with less salt....I don't mind adding a little salt, if necessary.

Not to mention, they serve Coke products...I like Pepsi.

I have to agree with your sentiments Steve, we find the burgers and fries from Five Guys the same and actually I would probably rather have the same items at McDonald's rather than there.

There is no doubt in my military mind that the absolute best burger in this city comes off a grill on my patio...

Jack's!!! My son had the burger last night and Wow! Served on a salted pretzel bun, cooked absolutely perfectly med-rare, with choice of cheese. Fantastic, served with the best battered onion rings I 've ever tasted. Now I know why people rave about this burger.

I have to give a shout out to the Troll Pub beer cheese burger. I love their beer cheese, and we always add bacon onto the sandwich...it's the perfect mix of messy and delicious. The serve it on their pretzel bun, which adds a great flavor and texture to it. Also, they will cook it to order, and do a great job with it. I don't eat burgers very often but I get cravings for this one for sure.

Bluegrass Burgers is still good, and most of the classics in this thread still are, but I would also try to catch up with the Grind food truck, which does the burger right.

Me too.

@Andrew Mellman: I do trade for favors, though...
