That's kind of what I thought, Mike. ;) I'm still thinking of the best way to do it, though; and if the food truck people themselves don't want it, then there's not much point ... 8)

True, although Matt will have to build traffic for his calendar, while HotBytes already has the traffic. I just want to help, frankly, and I'm a bit surprised that some people don't like the idea of making information about food trucks available. Hello? Food trucks aren't like restaurants. They move around. Remember, one of Louisville's most characterful restaurants, Mayan Cafe, got its start as a big blue taco truck back in the '90s, and people followed it around to construction sites.

When the calendar is up and working a link to it here would probably be sufficient but in the meantime it would certainly be helpful if we had some way to easily find out where they're going to be. As stated by others those that aren't interested don't have to look at it.

How about us omnivores who like animal flesh (preferably humanely raised without hormones, though) AND tofu?

I'm not vegan, just vegetarian.
I am the original Mike G, never mind the impostor.

I am kind of a big deal.

Why not a separate forum. You did it with the coupon posts and we have kitchen, travel, etc. What's one more forum? Call it The Mobile Restaurant Forum.

Sorry guys. I should have kept my mouth shut on the issue. It doesn't really matter to me, I just thought in this economy, everybody should get a fair shot at the same pie. I assumed everybody with food trucks knew what they were dealing with here in good old Louisville ( I researched it myself years ago) I honestly do no advertising and probably never will, but I fully understand the issue with the food trucks having to move around constantly and how hard that must be. I wish you all the luck in the world. By the way, my lot is the Brownsboro shopping center and the owners are the ones to talk with. If they give you the go ahead, so much the better. I've had Panera open across the street recently and my business as actually improved. Once again, sorry to all. I just need to cook and not get all riled up over little ripples in my concept of the way things should be. Peace to all and hope to taste some truck food soon.
