Re: Yes, I did get fired from Lou Lou today. But don't panic!

But John...John! The super important question is: Did they offer you any dessert, and were they mine? 8)

That's a pretty popular pizza for them, the chicken barbecue. The good thing with Lou Lou is, you can sort of really tailor it to your liking. Next time, just tell them "easy on the jalapenos, please!" and they will do it, I'm sure. You can also make any pizza or any combination of pizza toppings into a calzone, which is a great menu feature. A friend of mine swears by the buffalo chicken pizza-made-into-a-calzone, with sauteed celery - it's pretty freaking good.

Okay, Mark B, Danny Mac, Sue, H, Marie P - everybody - I surely appreciate everyone's best wishes. It's so comforting to me that I have so much support here. I'd like to ask again that we just let this thread sink away, and I promise: When I pop up again somewhere, you'll be the first to know - in a new thread!

I haven't been just sitting around all week, I've been having meetings and streamlining my resume and pitching this idea here and that idea there. I'm excited about whatever will come next, and I'll keep all of you in the loop. Stay tuned. Really!

Want me to put a "lock" on the thread, Marsha? People will still be able to read it, but no more postee, so it will gradually slide into the dustbin of history ...

But before you do....
After reading this thread Saturday, on Sunday I called Lou Lou's to try and get ahold of one of your desserts. I believe I spoke with a JT?, nice guy, and mentioned they still had three sliced of your Lemon Sunshine Cake. Seeing as I had never had it, but heard it raved about forever, I ordered a slice. I coupled it with the BBQ Chix pizza (without green peppers). As a BBQ Chix pizza afficionado, I absolutely loved it. Perfect crust, smoky chix, and the jalapenos were a perfect touch.

But onto the important stuff. Damn I loved that cake. We're usually a chocolate overkill type dessert lover, but this was perfect. A good summer dessert if you will. Still moist as could be and the icing was the bomb. I'll be stalking you for a slice soon. That is all, back to your regular scheduled programming..

Ah, Brian - that was the perfect ending for this thread. I'll miss the Lemon Sunshine but I hope anyone who needs one for a gathering or a party will still ask me to make one. That frosting was a labor of love that took me a couple months to perfect.

Robin, lock it please, that would be great! Anyone who wants to reach me can do so on HotBytes by private message or at thecupcakemercenary@gmail.com

Thank you Louisville! Good Night!
