Gayle,

If there is still room at the inn we'd like to book a room. Becky and I will be there along with three out of town guests (my best friend, his wife and their teenage daughter)...So FIVE for us.

Gayle DeM wrote:The next Louisville Hotbytes Forum Offline will be :D at Sake Blue Monday, June 15 at 6:00 p.m. Sake Blue is located on Bardstown Rd. out in Fern Creek just near the 265.

Remember in an earlier post Sohee (Sohee Lacey manager of Sake Blue and a fellow fourmite) made the following offer: "In addition to people ordering off the menu (sushi, bistro, teppanyaki), Chef Jack will make a couple of complementary signature dishes that may or may not be offered on our regular menu. These 'tasting' dishes will be fun and interesting, and will definitely be unique to Sake Blue. We will also offer a tasting of our premium organic cold sake that will be a crisp & refreshing complement to the dishes."

So far the following people have indicted that they wish to attend:

Carla Griffin (confirmed)
Gayle DeM (confirmed)
Robin and Mary (confirmed)
Dan L. and wife (confirmed)
Carolyne Davis and Gordon (confirmed)
Jackie R. (confirmed)
Mandy R. (confirmed)
Paul Mick (confirmed)
Trisha W. and boyfriend (confirmed)
Suzi Bernert, Richard Meadows and son (confirmed)
Deb Hall (confirmed)
Gary Fox (confirmed)
Tom and Gina Holstein (confirmed)
Steve and Becky P plus 3 (confirmed)
Holly Rudolph and Jim Ghrist (confirmed)
Linda B (confirmed)? and Mark
Kim H. plus 1 (confirmed)

Since seating is limited at Sake Blue, a group of this size will require that Sohee reconfigure seating arrangements. Therefore, please confirm your plan to attend. Of course, others are most welcome to add their names to the list.

Gayle,

Confirm with you or the restaurant ? We got on this bandwagon a little late, so if there is no more room at the feeding trough we understand. Otherwise, we'll be there.

If you haven't yet confirmed your plans to be at the Sake Blue offline, please confirm with me online or via a PM. Note that the confirmations are with me, not with the restaurant. I have sent a PM to Sohee asking the maximum that Sake Blue can handle. I know that at the beginning Sohee asked about seating arrangements if there were more than fifteen. We are now well above that. Additionally, our offlines always seem to have a number of "no-shows." Please let me know if you have to change your plans.

Sorry that I haven't been on for a few days, just confirmed via PM. I ran into Richard the other day and told him I would even let everyone make selections for me as I am not very experienced with sushi though I have been wanting to really learn more. That should be interesting lol. :)

Are we too late? Been debating, as I wasn't sure if I would be out of town or not. I'd love to attend, hopefully, plus 1!

You plus 1 are confirmed, Kim.

I am planning to close the reservations at noon tomorrow and call Sohee with the final count so they can start preparing for us.

Tom and I have had a lot going on, so I wasn't sure we could attend. I'll confirm with you, Gayle, via PM if we can do so, by Noon tomorrow. But I want to re-iterate and stress the point to the forum to PLEASE confirm and attend if you do confirm. Of course things happen....but it is embarrasing for the forum and costly to the restaurant when we have no-shows...they may have turned people away to accomodate the number they believed were coming. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make every effort to show up - or send someone in your place!

Congrats Gayle for what looks like a rip-roaring good time. Hope we will be able to join you!

My Internet connection is down and has been for the last four hours. I will not be posting again until the connection is reestablished because sending messages via my cell is way too frustrating with my fat finger!
