You all agree on the day. I'll make it happen. We will re-open on Mondays in April, but I'm more than happy to do it before, if needed.

I'm in ... maybe I'll decorate my tiara! I'm SURE I can find a hat around here somewhere.

Monday works much better for me, too, than Sunday. I'll wait and see what dates are bandied around and go from there.

If you had inserted the word "even" in that sentence it would have been the line of the day. Aw, heck, it is anyway. I'm such a sucker for song lyrics ....

If you're talking Joe Cocker, no "even"--one of the great songs ever.

I'm willing and able to help Gary out! So, if I may summarize.....

We're talking Mondays, but Seviche is not opening on Monday's until April. I've seen both lunch and dinner both mentioned. Lunch has the advantage of being more friendly to the restaurant folks on the forum, but for those of us who are working the day shift :-), dinner offers a better opportunity for going for our best hats!

I know that Anthony offered to accomodate us earlier than April, but really, wouldn't it be more fun to have the hat parade when there are other customers in the restaurant......?

Gary, let me know if I can help you and how....and I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere - I checked before posting, but could have missed something...

Wow! I cannot believe how this has blown up! If Anthony is willing to Host I would love to meet everyone since I am new here. I have been having Mofongo withdrawals. Maybe I will wear my airbrushed "Chef Steve" cap that my redneck aunt gave me. Maybe I will bring my Men without Hats CD and we can all do the "Safety Dance". I still think the topic is lame.

If you decide on either of the last two Mondays in March, I will make that my re-opening of Mondays, so I will be open to the public aswell. You all figure out what day works best for everyone. We have been deciding when to open back up on Mondyas, so it will be no problem if it's the 23rd or the 30th. I have staff ready to go, when I give the word.

Anthony is apparently quite willing to open one of the last two Mondays in April, though, Melissa. I propose we take him up on that, especially since April will soon find us competing with Bats' season. ;)

Also, it will be fun to do it while our memories of the Lame Hats thread are still fresh and bright ... How about March 23?

I'll have to see the date the event is scheduled for (oh no, it's bad writing etiquette to end my sentence with a preposition!).

In the great words of Sir Winston Churchill, upon being corrected on the same point (by a journalist), "That is the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put."

I regret that between the miles and piles of snow that separate us I will not be able to make this millinery meetup.

I will, however, be there in spirit, and offer the following words from the great American poet and balladeer, Mr. Randy Newman:

Baby, take off your coat...(real slow)
Baby, take off your shoes...(here, I'll take your shoes)
Baby, take off your dress
Yes, yes, yes
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
"It ain't a matter of pork 'n beans that's gonna justify your soul
Just don't try to lay no boogie woogie on the king of rock and roll."

Shall we throw out Monday, March 23, evening, at Seviche? Make sure it absolutely works for Anthony, and Make It So? I suspect we'll never hit a date that works for 100 percent of the people, but this looks like it will come close.
