I just posted a link to this topic on Louisville History & Issues -- I'll keep it featured through October 16. Hopefully, that will help, and I will definitely plan to be there.

Good news guys. It looks like a local television station may pick this story up. However, the reporter would like to talk to someone who is close to Adam. I understand that he is new to the area but is anyone close to him? The reporter thinks that will be a good way to lead into the story. If not, is there anyone out there who wants to take the lead on this and be the contact person? Robin? Leah? Matthew? Kris? Please PM me so we can get the ball rolling.

I'm just a happy customer and another Old Louisville Business owner. Maybe Kris who visited Adam in the hosptal is a closer friend. Robin could certianly talk about things getting organized here on the Forum and Marsha could talk about all the donations.

Consider it posted on my site as well. Matt - I'll email you about a possible donation as I'll be out of town that night.

Good morning all. Just talked with Adam and he is doing better. He finally got in a room last night (he had been in recovery since the surgery late Sunday/early Monday). He is not sure what his timetable for release is, but the main thing keeping him there right now is the chest tube. He has no idea how long that will remain in, and obviously he will not be able to open up the shop upon his release. It will take awhile for him to get back up and going. I have updated him on all the activity with the benefit. He is very thankful. Elizabeth, you have a pm with some contact info for Adam's brother, who would be a good person for the reporter to talk to. Once again, this group has blown me away with their compassion and kindness. I hope you all have a great day.

Jo, I just received a Facebook event announcement promoting Bon Vivant Savant as *organizer* of this event. That's just a little cheeky, don't you think?

I made absolutely sure it was known that Matt from DCE was the organizer. You can read that in the "Recent News" area. I am trying to reach as many people as possible to aid in the cause.

i will ask my pastry chef to donate a dessert or two auction or service and we baxter will donate some g.c.'s... i can also, probably, get some louisville originals gift card donations...

Hey, Robin.
Can you make this thread a sticky so it stays at the top of the leader board so people see it?

I've got a few rare and unavailable in this area beers that I will be donating for the cause, along with a few other goodies. I am impressed by the way everyone is pulling together for this benefit. It shows the great character that the local foodies have!
