Ehhhhh....actually it's a pretty good analogy in that both dishes are overdone and beyond their prime. Alas, some folks like "hockey puck" steaks...and some folks like "fall off the bone" ribs....and fortunately for these folks both are amongst the easiest thing in the world to cook.

I guess some people do like hockey puck steaks, i'll give you that. Several years of working in chain steakhouses taught me that much.

I'm sure, but I'm definitely NOT one of them :P ! I'm a medium rare gal.
...and there was nothing "over" cooked about those ribs - I'm also a rib snob, really! 8)

Didn't check Facebook yesterday and we drove by last night. They were closed...sign said sold out. But the smoker was huffing away out on the street...so we'll give it another try soon.

that's exactly why one of us ordered the ribs, and 2 ordered the beef brisket - we had to walk past the smoker to get inside! One wiff was all it took :)

Went last night and met another couple that lives 2 houses away from Hammerheads. It was their 2nd time in 4 days! We started with the mac and cheese balls with hollandaise. They were ok, but the best was yet to come...I had the brisket sandwich and Grippo fries, although I could have eaten anything on the menu. It was great! Possibly the most tender brisket I have ever had, and the fries were good as well. My wife had the ribs and absolutely loved them. I tried a piece with bark and the rub was fantastic!
Top it off with a couple of Falls City drafts and I was as happy as can be. Our friends each tried the tacos: one pork, one duck and said they were tremendous.

The only disappointment came from them being out of the bacon brownie. However, it is safe to say we will be back many times so we will get it at a later date.

Appetizer, two good portioned entrees, two beers, and two Sprites for $42 before tip= amazing deal.

We drove into town from Garage Logic this afternoon/evening (Sunday) for the purpose of giving this place a try and had the same experience...Sign on the door saying they were closed/out of food. Too bad, we were really looking forward to trying it. Maybe we'll give it another shot once they get their sh** together.

They were reviewed favorably by the CJ last weekend and HotBytes/LEO on Wednesday. A perfect storm of publicity. It's probably not surprising they ran out.

I know I'm way late, but I'm just now hearing about Hammerheads. Wow, the positive reviews are off the charts! I'm so excited to check this place out. You guys have given this girl a major hankering.
