I hope that's not what he's ordering when you take him out! If it is and he is not finishing it he really needs to be taught a lesson.

LOL.

I wish it were that simple. I'm going to need some rezoning.

I have 3 kids and kids annoy me. My kids have Been dining out and flying since they were one month old. They have better manners than many people who we run into.

When a kid cries, you owe it to other customers to take them outside. That's what my wife and I did. I remember eating my food at home because I took one of my children out to the car to have their tantrum outside,

Art, been there, done that, first with a now 31 year-old daughter, now a 3 1/2 year old grandson. Remember everybody, who is in charge here? That said, take him to Jasmine Chinese and we do not hear a word from him once the Sesame Chicken is served in front of him.

Bill- that shouldn't be as funny as it is.
Leah- what is just as bad is "Just one?" or "Only one?" There are times I love to eat alone and this greeting makes me crazy. Well it really isn't a greeting is it? They make it sound more like a condolence. Whatever happened to "A table for one (or two)? Grrr

Ditto to this but the added insult is then being shown to the crappiest table in the restaurant. You know the one; the one- top that is behind the swinging door to the kitchen or crammed right beside a bus station where you can hear every conversation the food servers have about every table they have. It makes me feel like a puppy that is being fed someplace out of the way.

I hate hearing "You guys" in every sentence. As in, "What can I get you guys?" It just grates my nerves. The phrase is so ingrained in many people's speech that they can't address more than one person without using it.

Oh, that and, "Do you want your change?" Hell, YES, I want my change! Otherwise, I would have said, "Keep the change."

BTW, I was a server for more years than I care to count. It would never have occurred to me to say something like that to a customer. But, then again, that was a hundred years ago!

"we have unsweetened, but there is sugar on the table" Guess what, unsweetened cold tea is never gonna taste like sweet tea. no matter how many pink, blue, white, or yellow packets I tear open.

when I ask for water with no lemon, and get lemon regardless.

Actually this carries over into language in the general. The new trend of shortening every word "Apps" instead of appetizers is the first one to jump to mind. (not related to restaurants I want to choke people when I hear them say "paci" instead of "pacifier".)

Maybe so but it will taste a lot closer to sweet tea than any possible way you could try to make unsweetened tea out of sweet tea!

Customers, usually men, who take up way too much personal space. They push their chairs way back from the table, then spreeeeead out, oblivious to neighboring tables and to the poor server just trying to get through with a tray of drinks. Come on, do your knees really need to be two feet apart? If nature had given you such a big gift, you couldn't fit in pants.
