But if you look into it the other way taking the items to those drop off points wasn't costing them anything because their trucks were in those areas anyway :!: I'm sure with the old location downtown they were actually making some money from the public sales. With this new system I'm sure their sales to the public will drop even more.

Mark,

I get your point, but that doesn't hold up when they are making same day deliveries. Most likely they've already delivered the restaurants in the morning- before the 11:00 cut-off. Plus they have to drive to Nanz & Krafts ( no food deliveries there), park, send someone in, confirm order delivery, etc. Pretty good amount of extra effort for what is likely very few orders. :(

I understand being disappointed ( I sure am), but I don't understand folks being mad or saying they don't know what they are doing. Creation Gardens is a wholesale business- always has been. If allowing retail sales also isn't profitable for them, then this is consistent with their business model. I'm sure they were aware that the change would nix their retail business.

I can't say I was mad at them for doing what was right for their business, more I was disappointed in not being able to shop there anymore. I have found other places to fill the void but I do miss the old place. The older I get I have come to realize there isn't much I can control and no sense getting mad over what I can't control. :)

Just received this via email from Creation:

"Retail Customers: After careful consideration of our operational priorities and goals, and hearing from our retail customers, we have decided to cancel ALL retail operations and not allow for order pickup at our Louisville warehouse (beginning 2/1/13). Again, we will continue delivering to Nanz & Kraft as well as Ghyslain on Market until 1/31/13. Thank you for your understanding and thanks again for your business!"
