But, as someone else said, this is only a "teaser." The full list could include the locals.

I understand the point, and appreciate it. My assertion was that beer drinkers will not overlook this watering hole because the teaser list didn't include local products. It offers some high quality, tasty beers that many of us would take pleasure in.

Gotcha, and I agree. I wouldn't not (double negative?) go there because they don't (triple negative?) carry locally produced beers. There a numerous places in town I can go to enjoy those beers, and I don't think any restaurant has a "responsibility" to carry the locals.

I have to agree with Brad on this one. Choosing not to carry locally made beers or other products is no reason to cry foul. I eat at places all the time that doesn't carry my fav and really its no big deal. When all else fails I will opt. for that Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Goes good with anything or "hell clark they do fine just by themselves".-

Have a great weekend.....

Being a local business themselves, I'll be happy to support them even if they don't directly support other local businesses with their beer purchases.

I knew there was a Blind Pig somewhere in my memory.

It is a brewery/pub in Champaign, Illinois. I used to drink there occasionally during grad school days (I went to Purdue, but dated a girl at Illinois)....http://blindpigco.com/

Looks like no connection to this new place in Louisville.

Lest there be no misunderstanding, I agree with Mark. But ... there's a point being missed here, and for once (seriously), I'm keeping my mouth glued shut.

"]What's the Blind Pig's sourcing plan when it comes to food?"

What are you implying Roger ?

No implication intended as it pertains to the Blind Pig. Rather, I've been working on a piece that considers the meaning of "local" as it pertains to craft beer consciousness. Perhaps it will appear as a LEO column, and I may initiate a discussion here next week.

So, has anyone eaten here yet? I'm glad to hear about their beers, but what about their food? It is more than a "bar", n'est pas? :?
When in doubt, add more wine.
