Carla G is in da house...added to the guest list.

A note from Chris at Selena's:....that being that we're going to have to cut this off at 40-50, we're currently in the mid-30's (including the "tentatives"). Plenty of room left on the train folks...Some more of you lurkers need to get on board.

A note to all you lurkers that may never have experienced a Louisville HotBytes offline...
These events are always a blast. Usually the establishments know about LHB and are aware of our word of mouth advertising potential. They put their best foot forward and we get to see them as they want all of their customers to see them. Selena's has had some excellent WOM advertising on LHB already so they'll have to live up to their already glowing standards but I'm guessing they are more than up to the task. Please come and join in with some of the most facinating and knowledgeable people in the industry as well as those of the same ilk in the community. And a few goof balls as well. :D You won't be disappointed.

I agree ... you no doubt belong in the second part. At the hot dog pickup last night Becky pretty much confirmed that. But I think you are in good company -- with me --

For those of you in the "know", are they planning anything special for the group? The only offline I've been to was Sake Blue.

Trisha,

Other than the usual "heaping-helping" of Selena's hospitality, I'm not aware of anything special for the group. Chris did tell me they will be serving King Cake that night as well as providing some "Cajun" music.

Now that I am back in the modern world again (it's amazing how much you miss running water and flush toilets until you don't have them) I'm sure we'll be stopping by, if for no other reason than to get the taste of chicken fried steak out of my mouth...If I hear of anything, I'll be sure to post it.

For those that haven't been to Selena's, I suggest checking out their menu online. In addition to the Louisiana type fare, they also have some pretty darn good Sicilian style pasta dishes, etc. Not sure what (if any) menu specials they will be running that night but let me just say that in the past the ones we've tried have been very good. Our personal favorites on the menu are: Shrimp Manale (their version on New Orleans style BBQ Shrimp), Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya and of course the "ya gotta try it" Gumbo.

Looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces.

Just wanted to give this a little "bump". It's still on and we've still got a few seats left at the table. Some of you are listed as "tentative", if you could take a look at your social calenders in the next week or so, I'd like to firm the numbers up with Selena's sometime early next week.

Thanks
