Sweet. Hopefully he put on his big boy underpants before he hopped in this morning.

When I was 19, I took a ride to work from a macho friend after about as much snow as we saw today. Through the alleys he sped, and I begged him to slow (seriously pled), and he mocked me by quickly turning a tight corner and lost control, skidding into a brick alley wall where my forehead collided with the dashboard and nearly knocked me out. I had a head lump all day and he begged me not to bring to bring it up again. I never agreed. Stay safe on icy roads... don't be a Troy.

I grew up in Bullitt County where going to school in the snow meant your bus sliding off the side of & rolling down a hill. Just take some of the backroads off of HWY 44 W (between Shepherdsville & Dixie HWY or in Lebanon Junction (e.g. Collings Hill Road) that never get salted (at least they didn't when I was in school in the 90s). A school bus accident almost killed 3/5 of my family once. My 2 brothers were on the school bus that plowed in to the back of my girlfriends car (with me in it) at 55 MPH. There are some dangerous roads out there & it doesn't take much snow to make them terrifying.

Exactly. It isn't hard to drive on a flat interstate or city street. It is the hilly and untouched side roads where the danger is. I don't care how good of a driver you are, if you are going up or down a steep hill you have little control. You also have to take into account the "Troys" as mentioned. If someone is sliding towards you and the roads are snow covered you chances of getting out of the way are greatly reduced.
