Vietnam Kitchen offer Veg entrees from $8-10 from what I remember; not sure exactly of your taste.

I'm so embarrassed for trying to pick a fight. May be a terrible excuse, but I was "byting" under the influence of some Pinot. Will I never learn??? I'm really sorry, Adam, of course you have the right. And Alison, my comment was in no way targeted at you. I hope I have not irreparably tarnished my otherwise congenial disposition. I feel like such a dip. I just get feisty sometimes!

Jackie,
I don't see an apology in order here. As a vegetarian I think a lifestyle of eating pigs and cows as being, as Adam says, "crazy." I also think people who choose to be grossly overweight have a right to a lifestyle choice. So Adam, we don't care if you think Veganism is "crazy." We should respect the fact that many people like hamburgers, bacon, ......and non-meat items. That's what makes the world go around. I still report new places I discover for the possible use of others, even if I would never dine there. That is because I repect the fact that not everyone wants to do without eating meat. So kudos Jackie, and I'll toast to a nice glass of Pinot!

I meant no offense at all in my post. My only actual point was that, for me, veganism is an impossibility. I never said vegans were crazy, just that I could never live like that and for me it would be a crazy way to live (because I love bacon and butter!). I know it's probably also true that my lifestyle choices, dietary and otherwise, couldn't work for a lot of you guys... and I'm fine with that.

Again I apologize if someone took what I wrote as an insult, but I don't apologize for what I wrote because for me it's true.

A friend of mine and his wife are vegetarians and go there quite often. They love it, and from what I understand many of the items are vegan.

Adam,
That is perfectly cool. I was not particularly offended by what you said initially, but felt compelled to intervene when Jackie apologized. I pretty well knew what you meant. So may peace be with you and happy hotbytes forum postings!

Jackie, you have nothing to apologize for. As I said in my post responding to Gayle's critisism I love bacon and that is the only reason I am not a vegetarian. I don't like the texture of meat and do feel weird eating dead animals. My bacon has to be really really crisp so it doesn't have a fleshy texture.
Hope the pinot was a good one!
