I hope they don't seat my party in THAT booth!

Kinda like Monica Lewinski's blue dress?

I should preface by saying that I'm not a sports fan, and I couldn't care less about any of this.

That being said, the story isn't going away and I can't avoid it if I am going to consider myself a news junkie.

I would have no issue eating at Porcini. They did nothing wrong and any residual sexy drippin's would be long gone.

And much in the way that I wasn't at all offended by former President Clinton's or former Governor Patton's infidelity, I am not offended by Pitino's. Human nature. Nuff said.

If this Sypher woman was raped, then I hope that she gets help dealing with the recovery, and I hope that Pitino sees justice, but her case seems horribly weak.

If she wasn't raped, she already got her extortion money when she got 3 grand for an abortion.

Porcini, you are in the clear in my book, and I will continue to enjoy my visits to your establishment.

That was the title of my first album.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Tooooo funny!

Second, I think it would be hard to find a restaurant anywhere that didn't have at least one or two "Hey do you know who we caught doin' it in the ___?" stories. Hmmmm... maybe another forum topic?

This has no effect on my feeling for Porcini's, but they are both trashtastic! All he needs now is a tacky Ed Hardy tee shirt & a diamond stud earring and my vision is complete!

I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure many have stories to tell about customers and/or employees engaged in torrid activities on prem. ( just please don't share them if I was involved  )

i am with deb and carla on this one.... it is no surprise about people canoodling in a restaurant to me..... I am sure that goes on more than people care to realize/admit. The only thing i wondered about was Pitino being given the keys....

i apologize for using the word canoodling. I do not know what came over me.

If Porcinis could identify the exact booth, table, or spot that was used, they could probably command a big surcharge for the use of same.

People get a kick out of being at a place where "Washington slept here". Nothing wrong with a sign saying that Ricky ......... here.

I think the city should put one of those historic plaques out front commemorating this historic action.

It's OK. The British have such great terms. You know they had to be snogging before there was any canoodling.

I don't think this will hurt Porcini's. It may hurt their rep a bit in that they are now immortal in local gossip/lore for something other than osso buco so business won't suffer IMO.

BTW, I have heard of WAY WORSE stories of similar fashion from different fine dining restaurants here in Louisville that happened while they were STILL OPEN and I would still go there. No worries. Restaurant culture isn't as moral as some may think. The Pitino story story is Disney land compared to what I KNOW went on at these places. Aside from this case, I tend to have a good laugh about it. The culture of alcohol is quite ripe in this town which, at times, can produce some hilarious restaurant tales.

Best line I heard about this story all day was on Terry Meiners' when I was driving home from work. They have the segment where the hillbilly UK fan calls in and harasses Terry and U of L. He was firing off one liners about the situation and came of with "They are going to have to change the health inspectors rating of that place from an "A" to an "OHHHHH". I about put my car in a ditch with that one.

The subject restaurant on the Secrets of Louisville Chefs this afternoon was PORCINCIS

A couple of quotes that fit .. "hot social spot" and "only at Porcinis"
