Yes, the one in St Matthews. Bus trip in Oct for Bears vs Bengals. They had me talk to a guy that was in charge of the trip, don't remember his name.

It would not surprise me if the person who picks up the phone at a rather large establishment such as the BBC would not be aware that the bar had connections with a specific team. Given the turnover in the service industry, there's a decent chance that the phone answering person (probably a hostess) was not around the last time football was on (Jan). Well, speaking specifically about the Bears, late December (low blow, there).

And, having been the phone answering person at times in the past against my wishes, I should also point out the extent to which I made up answers as a way to get rid of people quickly. I'm a bad person.

I figured this as well. I didn't put much stock into their answer as I figured they would be like,

"Yeah, yeah football... What? Yeah, beer too. Huh? Chicago? Yeah, I mean no. I mean yeah we have TVs. Sports, beer... all that stuff. What's that? Huh? Yeah, BYE."

But the guy said no they are not affiliated with any sports team. ??? Whatevs. I'm not worried about it. I'll go up there anyway.

Nice shot Matthew... Please tell me you are not a Vikings fan...

Don't really cheer for a team. I was born and raised in Louisville, so I never attached myself to a specific team. Went to college in Ohio, so all that got me was the inability to understand why the world stops for a Bengals and Browns game. I wouldn't mind being a Vikings fan, but I'd never ever cheer for Favre, and I despise indoor football. I dated a girl in high school who thought Favre was the greatest thing since sliced bread. She used to try to tell me he was better than Elway (and this was in '99/'00). I mean, I loved that she loved football, I just couldn't ever accept how wrong her opinion was.

So, long story short, I think I've found more reasons to cheer against certain teams/players than for a certain team. So, what's the story with Chicago? Well the Cubs share that city, and do I ever hate the Cubs!

Living in MN for 18 years I tried to be a Vikings fan but there's just something sissy-like about a team that plays under a roof and pipes in fake crowd noise. This whole Fav-rey in purple thing has me scratchin' my head too. The boy's lucky Vince ain't still around...he might have still gotten out of Green Bay but not without a good old fashioned locker room a** whippin'
