Why don't you call it a pot-luck (private party) then you could bring the outside food in... We did this on the 4th of July and while it may be verboten nobody bothered to notice.

And if you need a patio for pot-lucking DCE has a nice one. Grill too. No smoker though.

Thanks for the offer. We might have to look into that for future barbecue endeavors!

Right now though, it seems like most people are available on the 5th of August at 7 PM. We're still waiting to hear back from Roger and Alan, but I think we can tentatively accept that date and time.

Depending upon how many people hop on, I might call ahead. Here's who I have so far, and I haven't heard any talk of significant others. Will this be a guy's night out, or should I add in a lot of +1's?

I think so. Busy, busy week ... but I'll try to make some time for it on the 5th.

I'm sure Mary would be happy to join in if other wives/partners/SOs are along, or turn me loose if they're not.

Seeing as my wife is a vegetarian, she wouldn't be interested in the BBQ, although I bet she'd consent to wait for me at Maido.

That will probably get the "boys" MORE excited, especially if you are alone. Note one more has already signed up.
