Just a reminder that Annemarie, Carole and I are meeting this Saturday at 12:30 at the Chamberlain Lane Penn Station. Becky have you decided to join us? Anybody else planning on coming?

We're having on our own mini offline at Dakshin the same time on Saturday. See the Dakshin thread if you haven't already.

Brian, I am aware of your Daskin offline, but Annemarie and I set this one up earlier. I would like to try Daskin, but you know how it goes: can't be two places at the same time.

Caustic Peeling or Double Dipping.

From personal experience I can promise you their fries are never frozen. They are cooked twice. Blanched in the AM, then fried to order in 100% pure peanut oil. All of the fries are fresh cut from whole potatoes on site.

The lemonade is also free squeezed daily.

I could live off their fries. The sandwiches are usually good too. I like the Club myself, but the cheesesteak is good, as is the aforementioned artichoke and mushroom. They do wraps and cold sammies now also.

I'm from the east coast and never saw any place like this on the east coast. However, I do love the place. Everything is hot and to order and incredibly tasty.
